Robbers Cut Hole In Wall, Enter And Rob Jewelry Store: Oak Lawn Police

Three men cut a hole in the wall of an empty business and entered Ramallah Jewelry, where they laid in wait for the store owner, police say.

OAK LAWN, IL — Three robbery suspects cut a hole inside an empty business and entered Ramallah Jewelry, where they laid in wait for the owner to arrive and open the jewelry store, Oak Lawn police said.

Around 12:15 p.m., Oak Lawn police went to Ramallah Jewelry, at the Jewel-Osco anchored shopping center at 87th Street and Ridgeland. Police said the three men accosted the owner, threatening him with a gun and demanding the keys to the safe and display cases.

The three stole jewelry, tied up the owner, and assaulted him with a blunt object, police said. The owner was treated on the scene for minor injuries. Oak Lawn detectives have been canvassing the area looking for video and evidence.
