RSD 122’s Board of Education Reduces Property Taxes

Ridgeland School District 122's Board of Education approves the full abatement for the Refund Recapture Levy. This new levy allows school districts to increase their tax revenue in an amount
equal to refunds granted in the prior 12-month period. Ridgeland School
District 122's tax extension would have increased by nearly $600,000. The Board
of Education’s action will result in a decrease in both the overall tax rate
and the individual tax bills of our community members.
