Ruse Burglar Targets Oak Lawn Bar, Swipes Cash Box

The man walked into Reilly's Daughter and identified himself as an electrical inspector, then stole a cash box, police say.

OAK LAWN, IL — A man posing as an electrical inspector stole a cash box from an Oak Lawn bar Monday morning, police.

Around 11:30 a.m., a man walked into Reilly’s Daughter, 4010 W. 111th St. and identified himself as an electrical inspector. An employee went to the back to fetch a manager. Police said the man took a cash box and left.

The suspect is described as a black middle-aged male and was wearing a black winter knit hat with sunglasses on top, a black jacket with a red stripe down the arms, a reflective yellow construction vest, dark-colored pants, and light-toned construction boots.
