Photographer Takes Audience On Trip Through Illinois' 2,400 Towns
Photographer John Lynn shares his photographs of Illinois' 2,400 cities and small towns Oct. 2 at the Evergreen Park Public Library.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- Peoria photographer John Lynn shares his photos and vision of Main Street, Illinois, this Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the Evergreen Park Public Library. The product of a 30-year continuing project to capture the many ways our Illinois towns offer roots, a hometown, and a Little America for us all, “Main Street, Illinois” is a memorable and fun-filled tour of the charms, traditions, and personalities of our Illinois towns — mostly small towns — led by the only person who has visited and photographed all 2,400 of them.
Lynn has photographed all 2,400 Illinois cities, villages, and towns. He has also hiked, biked, and canoed enough historic and scenic trails, roads, and rivers in North America and Britain to circle the globe. He has now shared his experiences and discoveries with over 4000 audiences. Lynn takes audiences to the far flung corners of the state to the small towns that aren’t on the map.
Registration is required and there are plenty of seats remaining. The Evergreen Park Public library is located at 9400 S. Troy, Evergreen Park.
