Security Video Tracks Burglary Suspect's Escape: Police
Chicago Ridge police track burglary suspect's escape to a car in nearby animal shelter's parking lot.

CHICAGO RIDGE, IL — A homeowner arrived home Tuesday morning just as a burglar was leaving his house, Chicago Ridge police said. Video surveillance tracked the suspect fleeing to the parking lot of an animal shelter.
Chicago Ridge police responded to a residential burglary in the 10300 block of Stephen Drive around 10:30 a.m. The homeowners told police they arrived home to see a man fleeing his house. Officers tracked the suspect several blocks away to the Animal Welfare League parking lot at 10305 Southwest Highway via security video. More home security video shows the man entering the residential neighborhood and fleeing from the home, police said.
The suspect is described as a 6-foot tall male with a medium build. Police said he was wearing an orange or rust-colored jacket with a white stripe on the shoulder/arm, over a black hoodie and black pants.

The vehicle that the suspect entered an older style SUV, possibly a Jeep, with white or silver rims, and a white-colored grill.
