Sen. Cunningham and Rep. Burke Host Job Fair in Chicago Ridge

Circle the date for Sept. 29. First hour of job fair is set aside for military veterans.

CHICAGO RIDGE, IL -- State Sen. Bill Cunningham (18th District) and State Rep. Kelly Burke (36th District) will partner with the Illinois Department of Employment Security for a job fair at Chicago Ridge Village Hall located at 10455 S. Ridgeland Ave. on Thursday, Sept. 29.

This is an opportunity for job seekers throughout the district to meet with potential employers and network about current and future opportunities.

“One of the most important things we can do as public officials is connect job seekers with employment opportunities,” Sen. Cunningham said. “We urge employers in our community to come out and meet with candidates about opportunities within our district.”

The first hour is set aside for veterans from 9 to 10 a.m. The job fair opens to the general public at 10 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m.

More than 40 employers have signed on for the job fair. Interested job seekers may contact Sen. Cunningham’s district office with any questions via his website or at 773-445-8128.

Sen. Cunningham represents portions of Worth, Orland and Palos Townships in the southwest suburbs and the neighborhoods of Mt. Greenwood, Beverly, Morgan Park and Auburn-Gresham in Chicago.

Rep. Burke’s district encompasses all of Evergreen Park and parts of Chicago Ridge, Oak Lawn, Palos Heights, Palos Hills, Palos Park, Willow Springs and Worth, and portions of Chicago's Beverly, Wrightwood, Mt. Greenwood and Auburn-Gresham neighborhoods.
