Senior Bianca Fleitas Scores, Elevates Play For Oak Lawn Spartan Varsity Girls Basketball Team

OAK LAWN, IL — This may just be one special year for Oak Lawn Community High School’s Bianca Fleitas. As a senior in her fourth year on the varsity girls basketball team, she is carrying the heavy responsibility of scoring and elevating the play of new and inexperienced Spartan teammates.

After missing a portion of last season with a knee injury, she is back with determination. And besides the goal of winning as a team, there is potential for Fleitas to have even more success.

“As a staff, we believe Bianca to be one of the pre-season candidates to win the South Suburban Conference Player of the Year Award,” OLCHS head coach Mark Sevedge said. “She has spent countless hours in the gym during the off-season improving her game and elevating herself as one of the best players in the area. Bianca is also working on becoming a leader for us on the court. With a lot of new and inexperienced players on the varsity roster, she understands the importance of showing her teammates what it takes to compete at the varsity level.”
