Senior Libero Emma McAuliffe Named OLCHS October Athlete Of The Month
The Oak Lawn Community High School senior is the first Spartan to surpass 1,000 digs, finishing with 1,093 after three varsity seasons.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Some moments will go down as the greatest in history, some teams will go down as the greatest in history, and some players will go down as the greatest in history. Oak Lawn Community High School senior libero Emma McAuliffe will do all of that.
She was part of this year’s volleyball team that set the school record for wins in a season. She was part of the moment the Spartans clinched their second consecutive South Suburban Conference Red Championship. Finally, she cemented her spot in the OLCHS record books by setting the mark for season aces and the mark for career digs. She was the first Spartan ever to surpass 1,000 digs in her career, finishing with 1,093 in three varsity seasons.
The outstanding performance earned her Athlete of the Month honors at OLCHS for October.
McAuliffe was also selected to the all-conference team and was awarded American Volleyball Coaches Association Best and Brightest First Team, which honors top senior student-athletes in the nation.
