Senior Starter Jose Aceves Leads OLCHS Boys Soccer Team In Assists

OAK LAWN, IL — A four-year starter on the Oak Lawn Community High School boys soccer team, Jose Aceves has learned a thing or two about what makes the difference between winning and losing. As a senior, he is doing all he can to raise the Spartans’ level of play by supporting his teammates.

As a central attacking midfielder, Aceves leads the team in assists with 10 and has added three goals of his own. However, his major impact has come through inspiring success by taking control of team huddles.

“Jose is a senior captain whose vocal leadership on the field and in the team talks has been instrumental to the Spartans’ success,” said head coach Nate Joiner. Jose is a complete player, who boasts excellent passing range to go with an aggressive ball-winning mentality.”
