Sex Offenders Skip Annual Registration: Warrant

OAK LAWN, IL -- Oak Lawn police are looking for a pair of local sex predators listed on the Illinois Sex Offender Registry. William Hodges, 44, and DeSean Rakim Boyd Marchman, 32, failed to show up for their annual registration, an officer said Thursday in court.

Hodges’ last known address is in the 9800 block of South Karlov Ave. The Oak Lawn police officer told the judge that he failed to update his registration as required on Dec. 2, 2018. Police have gone to Hodge’s residence, and called his work and home numbers. A family member does not know his whereabouts.

The prosecutor told the judge that Hodges has four prior felonies, and was sentenced to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for failure to register in 2016. Hodges was convicted in 2009 of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. The victim was nine and Hodges was 34 at the time of the offense. Hodges is classified as a sexual predator.

Marchman allegedly missed his Sept. 7, 2018 annual registration date. The officer told the judge that police have been to Marchman’s last known address in the 9600 block of South Major Avenue numerous times. Relatives told police they don’t know where Marchman is.

According to the Illinois Sex Offender Registry, Marchman also uses the names “DeSean Rakim Boyd,” “Robert E. Boyd,” and “Robert Earl Daniels.” There is another active warrant for Marchman on a pending theft charge, the prosecutor said.

Marchman served four years on a criminal sexual assault by force conviction. The victim was six years old, and Marchman was 16 at the time of the offense. He is listed on the sex offender registry as a sexual predator.
