Shepard celebrates three SSC Red champions
Astros win conference in soccer, volleyball, cross country
Shepard High School this week celebrated three teams who won their South Suburban Conference Red Division championships.
The varsity boys soccer team, coached by Colm McGhee, won conference with a record of 8-2-1. The Astros won back-to-back conference championships for the first time in school history.
The varsity boys cross country team also won the SSC Red title with Evan Jamrozy winning the individual championship for the second straight season.

Finally the varsity girls volleyball team won conference with their 25-13, 25-8 sweep of Oak Forest. The Astros finished the season 25-10 overall with a 12-1 conference record.
