Shepard girls 3rd, boys 4th at bowling invitationals

New hardware for Astros

The varsity girls bowling team from Shepard High School won third place (3534 total pin fall) on Saturday at the Oak Lawn Lady Spartan Invitational. The frosh/soph also did very well, placing fourth with a total score of 2707.

The varsity boys bowling team took fourth place out of 14 teams on Saturday at the Tinley Park Invitational. Junior Nick Musilek earned All-Tournament honors by placing fifth with a 206 average over six games.

The junior varsity team, which played only freshmen, took seventh out of the 14 teams and "competed very well," coach Simeon Shama said.
