Shepard High School in Palos Heights proudly announces that 37 members of the 2025 senior class have been named Illinois State Scholars by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission.
Roughly 10 percent of the state’s high school seniors earn this recognition each year. In order to earn Illinois State Scholar honors, students must rank in the top half of their graduating class and score in the 95th percentile of the ACT or SAT.
“Congratulations to all our scholars for this great achievement,” said Shepard Principal Dr. Timothy Baker. “I know it comes with a lot of late nights and early mornings, paying attention in class, and doing all the work. These top-tier students are the cream of the crop here at Shepard.”
