Shepard students learn about careers at Metra

Last Friday a group of 25 students from Shepard High School visited Metra to learn about career opportunities through our regional public train service provider.

Shepard career facilitator Sarah O'Brien explains:

This was a great field trip. There are many job, internship, and apprenticeship opportunities at Metra (engineering, sheet metal workers, carman, electricians, machinists).

The students were also given a presentation by Human Resources -- detailing interviewing skills, employability, and soft skills.
