'She's The Reason I'm A Strong Woman:' Mother's Day Tribute

HOMETOWN, IL — Bonnie Gesiakowski of Naperville sent Patch this tribute to her mom, Bonnie Leubsche, as part of Patch's "Share Your Love For Mom" feature. Mother's Day is this Sunday, May 13.

My mother has been a friend and a mother, she has always had my back, she has always been funny and down to earth and managed to find the right balance of discipline because I managed to grow up OK and not get in any real trouble. My mother deserves to be recognized as a special mother because I am sure like many others she has overcome a lifetime of ups and downs and has become even more special because of it, she is the reason I am a strong woman, just like her.
