Simmons Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society welcomed forty-two new members this year. Sixteen current members were recognized for their second year in the honor society. NJHS is based on five pillars: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character and Citizenship. Each member of the NJHS Leadership Team spoke about each pillar along with an address by Supt. Joseph Matise. The members maintain high academic standards and character while serving the community through service hours and projects. Mrs. Taina Garcia and Mrs. Jeannie Perry act as the Simmons National Junior Honor Society sponsors.
