Soph Maksym Kolodziejczyk Ready To Go The Distance For Oak Lawn Boys Cross Country
Hard work pays off for sophomore who earned a spot on the Oak Lawn Community High School varsity boys cross-country team.

OAK LAWN, IL—As a freshman, Maksym Kolodziejczyk was fighting for a spot on the Oak Lawn Community High School junior varsity boys cross-country team. By the time spring rolled around, he had worked his way into varsity distance races for the track team.
Now he is poised for the varsity cross country season. It’s a great example of what hard work can achieve.
“Instead of settling, Maksym continued to put in the work all summer,” OLCHS head coach Marty Chappetto said. “He understands that greatness doesn’t happen overnight; it comes from showing up, trusting the process, and getting better every day.
