Spartan Diver Cohen Laylo Named OLCHS January Athlete Of Month

OAK LAWN, IL — Last year, the month of January was a good one for Oak Lawn Community High School boys diver Cohen Laylo as he won the South Suburban Conference Red meet and went on to take fourth at the Illinois High School Association Sectional. This year as a junior, Laylo rose to the top in January once again. He was named as an Oak Lawn Athlete of the Month.

“Cohen took first place in all four competitions throughout the month of January,” OLCHS head coach Derek Maciaga said. “It was highlighted by setting a new school record in sic dives at our very own Spartan Invite with a score of 276.0.”
