SPOILER ALERT - Last Night's Big-Bust-Theory Season Finale
A fairly brief review of the Big Bang Theory season finale...the good and, YES, the bad.

We came to the end of another season of the Big Bang Theory yesterday evening. I used to laugh out loud at this show all the time, now I'm grateful for occasions wherein I'm actually moved to do so. Last night's episode had some highlights. Thankfully Howard, Stuart, Raj and Bernadette didn't really have a subplot, they were just observers of the main plot, where Sheldon has difficulty living without Amy for the summer while she works at Princeton. Enter a blast from the past, the guest who was a pest - Ramona Nowitzky, who worshipped and followed, then STALKED and SMOTHERED Sheldon until he finally snapped to attention when she said they could share the credit for a paper they wrote together. He instantly ordered her out of his life and things went back to normal for the Big Bangers - til the next episode.
Now, she's a PhD and she's back. She has no regard for the fact that Sheldon is spoken for and moves in for the kill. Two and two are finally put together (yeah, no shade, Sheldon) as he confronts her about her intentions. He excuses himself for a moment - then jumps in a cab to the airport, then jumps in another cab when he lands in New Jersey on the Princeton campus, then works his way down the hall to her apartment, and I'd really like to know how he could seemingly pinpoint her location this effortlessly. Now, Sheldon could take me to task about my deliberately poor grammar here, but...as if I cared.
He does his usual knock and whine the person's name three times in a row, which has always made me want to shoot a cannon from the other side of the door if anyone ever did that to me. She opens the door and sees him kneeling with the ring out. "Will you marry me?" - then the screen jumps to black.

I haven't seen any scripts for the next season, but I have some good ideas about the season premiere whenever that'll be. Actors and writers aren't on strike for now, so we're good there. What about union employees working on-set. Lighting, audio, camera. etc. Are they going to walk off the job and leave our season premieres in the dust?
Provided that doesn't happen, I have some ideas about the season premiere. Amy will of course say "no" going on this long and whiny litany of why, how, and how come, she can't marry him. She'll make the whiny face and fall into an "I'm sorry" loop while Sheldon bears the facial expression, vocal inflection and...well, that...of an 8 year-old - he already dresses like one as it is. Then the audience will scream bloody murder when she says "no". I'd like to be in that audience, and I'd like to write the episode in which she says "no".
