St. Catherine's of Alexandria Opens Parish Carnival Season, June 7 -11

Carnival magic returns this week to Oak Lawn, with the return of the St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish Carnival and everyone is invited. St. Catherine’s is offering five days of fun, this Wednesday through Sunday, from June 7 to June 11. This is one of the friendliest carnivals on the South Side featuring rides, food, entertainment, games and a beer garden.

The parish is offering some dandy prizes including a $5,000 grand prize raffle and other cash payouts, pull-tabs, split-the-pot, paddle games and daily bingo. Children’s activities including face painting and games will be on tap in the Alexandria Center.

There will also be great grub for purchase, including beef and sausage, brats and hot dogs, pizza and corn, hamburgers, chicken wings, waffle fries, Clancy’s corned beef and pot roast balls, chicken tenders and DEEP FRIED OREOS. Saturday’s special features pulled pork.
