St. Nicholas Greek Fest Returns For 60th Year In Oak Lawn
St. Nicholas Orthodox Church's popular Greek Fest returns to Oak Lawn featuring music, Greek cuisine and dancing June 15 and June 16.

OAK LAWN, IL — Immerse yourself in Greek culture Father’s Day Weekend at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church’s Greek Fest in Oak Lawn. The festival runs from 3 to 11 p.m. Saturday, June 15, and from 2 to 10 p.m. Sunday, June 16.
Now in its 60th year, St. Nick’s Greek Fest is a beloved summer tradition and features some of the best cuisine found at outdoor festivals in the south suburbs. The St. Nicholas Ladies Philoptochos Society has food prep down to a science, making their famous baklava, featured on WGN's "Chicago's Best," with a dedicated crack grill team firing up the shish kabob.
Fest goers can also enjoy plates full of tasty souvlaki, Greek chicken, gyros, pastitsio ("Greek lasagna"), spanakopita, Greek pastries and more. Two bars will be available to serve up libations, including Greek beer and wine. Or, head over to the Kafeneion for some Greek coffee and frappe.

The church will be raffling off cash prizes, including a $5,000 grand prize, and second prize of $2,000 and $1,500 third prize. Tickets are $100 and the winner need not be present.
Strung Out brings its ultimate 70s experience to the stage at 7 p.m. Saturday, with DjYianni spinning tunes starting at 3 p.m. Sunday, St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 10301 S. Kolmar Ave., Oak Lawn,or more information, call 708-436-5460.
