St. Patrick's Day 2022 Food, Drink Specials, Music In Southland

Peruse Patch's list of bars and restaurants offering St. Patrick's Day drink and food specials, entertainment and more in the Southland.

With the South Side Irish Parade behind us, the high holy days of St. Patrick’s Day continue, which this year falls on Thursday, March 17. Here are some places where you can find green beer, Irish cuisine, shamrock-shaped pizzas, bagpipers, Irish dancers, music and even a ghost or two.

Willow Springs

The Irish Legend, 8933 Archer Ave., Willow Springs – Grab your best green garb and head to the haunted Irish Legend, a scratch kitchen tradition Irish pub with ties to the Prohibition Era and Al Capone. The pub has 29 beers on yap and craft cocktails. Matt, Zach and Tom will be playing Irish tunes from 7 to 10 p.m. March 17. Then come back Friday, March 18, for a fish fry and for traditional bagpiping with the Highland Guard Bagpipes from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Palos Heights

Roof Top Tap, 12231 S. Harlem Ave., Palos Heights – Swing by for $2 specialty shots, green beer and karaoke. A prize will be awarded for the best St. Patrick’s Day outfit.

Palos Hills

Durbin’s, 10154 S Roberts Rd, Palos Hills – Durbin’s is offering shamrock-shaped pizzas through March 17 that can be ordered online at its Evergreen Midlothian, Palos and Burbank locations. The Guinness and green beer will be flowing all day, along with corned beef and cabbage specials. Live bands, bagpipers and Irish dancers will appear at Durbin’s various locations.

Oak Lawn

Reilly’s Daughter, 4010 W. 111th St., Oak Lawn – Come get shamrocked at Reilly’s Daughter, a South Side tradition since 1976. DJ Rick will be spinning the tunes starting at 4 p.m.

Clancy’s Pizza Pub, 4024 W. 103rd St. (103rd and Cicero, in Jewel-anchored shopping center) – Kevin O’Kennedy has a full day of Irish entertainment planned at both of his venues.
The music starts at noon with John Williams; Stockyard Kilty Pipe Band, 3:30 p.m.; John Devlin, 5 p.m.; Weber Irish Dancers, 7:30 p.m.; Guinness Glass Giveaway, 8 p.m.; and the Chicago Garda Pipe and Drum Band.

Clancy’s 95th Irish Tavern, 5763 W. 95th St., Oak Lawn – The music and dancing continues at Clancy’s 95th, starting with Richie Z, 12:30 p.m.; Stockyard Kilty Pipe Band, 4 p.m.; John Williams, 4:30 p.m.; Crosskey’s Irish Dancers, 6:30 p.m.; Patches O’Houlihan Band, 8 p.m.

The Irish Rebel Pub and Grill, 9953 Southwest Highway, Oak Lawn – Two bands are slated to entertain starting at 3 p.m. with Liam Durkin, followed at 8 p.m. with AA, performing alcohol infused rock classics, including Ramones, Stones, Zepplin, AC/DC, Weezer, Janis Joplin, White Stripes, CCR, Violent Femmes and many more. Corned beef sandwiches will be served throughout the day.

Deja Brew Bar Grille, 5219 W. 95th St., Oak Lawn – St. Patrick’s Day specials will be served all day starting at 11 a.m., featuring Reuben Rolls ($14.50); Corned Beef Sandwiches ($15); corned beef and cabbage ($19.50); and Irish Poitin ($15), along with a wide selection of craft beers and seasonal cocktails. Evergreen Park

Porter Cullens Irish Pub and Restaurant, 3541 W. 99th St., Evergreen Park – Eat, drink and be Irish, starting with an Ireland-inspired libation, featuring Tis Herself Bailey’s Mint Martini, Gael’s Guinness Whiskey Cream, A Wee Bit of Irish Punch and Failte Vanilla Whiskey Mule. See the full menu.

McNally’s, 11136 S. Western Ave., Chicago – The McGinnis Brothers take the stage at 6 p.m., followed by a special Queen of Hearts drawing at 7 p.m.

Cork and Kerry, 10614 S. Western Ave., Chicago – St. Patrick’s Day food specials and a special cocktail menu.
