Stan's Donuts Celebrates Grand Opening Saturday In Oak Lawn Mariano's

OAK LAWN, IL — Mariano’s will become a veritable doughnut wonderland as the first in-store Stan’s Donuts celebrates its grand opening in Oak Lawn this Saturday, Oct. 22. Stop by between 9 a.m. and noon and scan the QR code for a chance to win FREE Stan’s Donuts for an entire year. (Patch has also included the QR code below.)

Stan’s is coming to select Mariano’s stores in the Chicago area, the first location being in Oak Lawn at 110th Street and Cicero Avenue. The donut chain has been around since 2014, when founder Rich Labriola opened the first shop in Chicago.

There will be a ceremonial donut ribbon cutting Saturday, along with balloons, inflatable toy donuts, games, free samples and merchandise. The drawing for a year’s supply of Stan’s Donuts will take place at noon Saturday, You need not be present to win. The winner will receive coupons with one $15 coupon per week to present at the Stan’s location inside the Mariano’s location for free donuts every week during the year.

Stan’s Donuts opened about a month ago in the Oak Lawn Mariano’s and has built a buzz around neighborhood social media. One commenter, although she loved Stan’s Donuts, she was disappointed when her Mariano’s rewards card was not accepted.

Patch stopped by Wednesday afternoon, and she was able to enter her alternate ID while purchasing some Stan’s house brew and a lemon pistachio donut, which are like crack. The friendly employee said while Stan’s isn’t offering any discounts or freebies, Mariano’s Rewards cardholders can still accrue points for gas and other store items.
