Sully Shuffle Honors Oak Lawn Coach Fighting Parkinson's Disease
The sixth annual Sully Shuffle 5K run/1K walk gets underway Sunday Sept. 14. See registration details.

He is the most beloved coach in the history of Oak Lawn Community High School. This Sunday, hundreds of supporters will come together for the sixth annual 5K/1K Run/Walk Sully Shuffle for Parkinson’s Disease research.
Skip Sullivan, a lifelong Oak Lawn resident and retired teacher, was very involved during his years at OLCHS filling multiple roles such as assistant varsity girls’ basketball coach, assistant football coach, golf and head varsity baseball coach. The coach has been fighting Parkinson’s disease for the past 10 years. His positive optimism continues to inspire many.
Since the first Sully Shuffle in 2009, the 5K has raised over $115,000 for the American Parkinson’s Disease Association’s Midwest Chapter. The race begins and ends on the west side of OLCHS on Austin Avenue, between 93rd Street and Southwest Highway.
