OAK LAWN, IL—Southsiders stepped up in a big way over the weekend by purchasing T-shirts commemorating fallen Chicago Firefighter/EMT Michael "Mickey" Altman at Reilly’s Daughter in Oak Lawn, who died last week fighting a fire on the North Side.

The bar announced that it has sold out of its initial run of T-shirts but has opened an online store including short- and long-sleeved shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies. The items will be available for purchase through 11:59 p.m. Thursday, March 26. Visit the Reilly’s Daughter online store.

One hundred percent of proceeds will be given directly to the fallen firefighter’s family, who was married with a young son and a baby girl on the way.

A visitation and funeral will be held for the fallen firefighter Thursday and Friday, March 26 and March 27, respectively, at St. Rita of Casia Shrine Chapel, 7040 S. Western Ave., Chicago.
