The Dalton man is currently being questioned by the FBI about similar bank robberies in the Chicago region, police said.
BURBANK, IL — A man accused of robbing a TCF bank branch in Burbank was arrested at his residence on Tuesday afternoon. Eric Valentine, 61, of Dalton, was turned over to the FBI where charges may be forthcoming, Burbank police said in a news release.
Around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, a man walked up to the teller at the TCF Bank branch inside the Jewel-Osco Food Store at 7910 S. Cicero Ave. Police said the bandit, now identified as Valentine, showed a note demanding money from the teller's drawer. The teller complied, and the suspect left the store, driving away in a red four-door sedan.
Through the use of video surveillance and red-light cameras, Burbank police were able to identify the red, 2013 Toyota Corolla that Valentine allegedly drove off in, along with an undisclosed amount of cash from the robbery. Valentine was arrested hours later at his residence in the 15600 block of Ingleside in Dalton without incident by FBI agents and Burbank police.
