Teacher Appreciation Week at Richards

Leo Club makes cards, decorates sidewalks, assembles gift packages

Yesterday after school Leo Club from Richards High School worked on their Teacher Appreciation Week projects. They decorated the sidewalks lining the faculty parking lot, created thank you cards for every Richards teacher, and assembled popcorn gifts for them.

Leo Club, the high school affiliate of Lions Clubs International, performs service activities throughout the year. Len Pearson of the Lions Club of Oak Lawn founded the first Leo Club in Illinois at HLR in 1969.
