Teen Seeks Sanctuary from Perv in White Castle: Prosecutor

Prosecutor said man made teen fondle him in car.

BRDIGEVIEW, IL -- A Justice man was arrested in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant after a 16-year-old girl ran inside and told workers to call the police claiming that she had been forced to fondle him, prosecutors said.

Keith Kuncic, 55, appeared before Cook County Judge John Gallagher on charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and unlawful restraint. Kuncic was arrested May 11. He has no criminal past.

The prosecutor said Kuncic was driving by an address in Worth when he saw the 16-year-old girl trying to arrange a ride to the city with an Uber driver. When the Uber driver told her he didn’t go into the city, Kuncic asked the girl if she needed a ride.

Kuncic and the girl drove around for two or three hours. When Kuncic began talking about spanking, the girl became uncomfortable, the prosecutor said. During the ride, Kuncic allegedly took the girl’s hand, kissed it, and placed her hand on top of his crotch.

Police said Kuncic put his hand on top the girl’s and began to massage himself on top of his athletic shorts. He was not wearing underpants, according to the charges. They continued driving around and Kuncic took the girl’s hand a second time and placed it on top of his shorts, according to the charges.

As they continued driving, the prosecutor said that Kuncic would not let the girl out of the car. When she told him she had to report to her job at White Castle, they went to restaurant at 7900 S. Harlem Ave. in Bridgeview.

The prosecutor said the girl managed to get out of the car where she went into the restaurant and told workers to call the police. The girl told the 911 operator what happened. Bridgeview police came and arrested Kuncic in the parking lot.

The girl was able to identify Kuncic in a photo array, the prosecutor said. Kuncic also allegedly made admissions to the police.

The assistant public defender told the judge that Kuncic spent nine years in the U.S. Army and is disabled from various maladies.

“The case is probational,” the assistant public defender said. “We’re asking for a reasonable bond.”

The judge set bail at $75,000 and ordered electronic monitoring. Kuncic is due back in court June 8.
