Teens And Kids Can Get A Free Breakfast At Oak Lawn Schools
Kids and teens 18 and younger can participate in the USDA's free summer breakfast program at Oak Lawn schools.
OAK LAWN, IL — Children and teens age 18 and younger can participate in the USDA’s Summer Food Rocks program at Richards High School, and Kolb and Harnew elementary schools. Kids and teens need not be a student at the respective schools and no enrollment is necessary.
Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. Monday through Thursday, through July 21, at Richards High School, 10601 S. Central Ave., Oak Lawn. Enter through School Cafeteria Door S-2. There will be no food service July 1 and July 4.
Ridgeland Dist. 122 is also participating in the seamless summer feeding program. Students can pick up an express breakfast starting at 8:30 a.m., with community meal time from 8:45 to 9:15 p.m. Monday through Friday. There will be no food service July 4 to July 5.

The program runs through July 12, at Kolb Elementary School, 9620 S. Normandy Ave. For more info, call 708-598-8090.

Oak Lawn Community High School will be serving a free breakfasted and/or lunch to teens and children 18 and younger. No application or registration is required. Students need not be enrolled at OLCHS to participate.
Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8 a.m., and lunch from 10:35 to 10:50 a.m. in the school cafeteria. The meals will be offered Monday through Thursday from June 13 to June 30 and July 6 to July 26.

The USDA’s Summer Food Service Program is a federally-funded, state-administered program. SFSP reimburses program operators who serve free healthy meals and snacks to children and teens in low-income areas.
