The driver on the bus says SIT YOUR BUTT DOWN! All thru the town.

Bus drivers have a lot of rules to follow and one of them is we must make sure the children are seated, preferably correctly.  A bus ride is usually less than 15 minutes for most of elementary students, and in that 15 minutes or less time some children won't stay seated.  This normally is more of a problem after school when they are all wired from sitting in school, and they think the school bus means it's play time.  We have to constantly remind them that the bus is a moving vehicle and anything can happen at any given time, and that if they are standing or kneeling they can be thrown around and hit the glass and hurt others as well.  So, many times  you will see buses on the side of the road with their hazard lights flashing and the bus driver either out of their seat or sitting looking up in the kiddy (rear view) mirror.  Sometimes when it gets really crazy the bus driver will flash the interior lights trying to calm the students, or will be seen yelling at the students to calm down.   Doesn't always work.
