Traffic Alert Issued For Funeral Of Boy Fatally Stabbed In Plainfield
Police have issued a traffic alert in the Bridgeview area Monday, Oct. 16, for the funeral of 6-year-old Wadea Al-Fayoume.

BRIDGEVIEW, IL — The Bridgeview Police Department has issued a traffic alert Monday, Oct. 16, for the visitation and funeral service for 6-year-old Wadea Al-Fayoume, the Palestinian-American boy who was fatally stabbed in Plainfield Township over the weekend. His mother was also seriously injured in the attack that police say was a hate crime.
Chief Rick Mancha said area residents should expect heavy traffic in the Bridgeview area from 10:30 a.m. to about 2:30 p.m. on Harlem Avenue between 80th and 95th streets.

Visitation will take place Monday from 10:30 to 12:30 a.m. at Hann Funeral Home, 8230 S. Harlem Ave. The funeral procession will travel south to The Mosque Foundation, 7360 W. 93rd Street (93rd and Harlem), from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
Burial will be at Parkholm Cemetery, 2501 N. LaGrange Road, LaGrange Park. Details are still being worked out for the procession route to the cemetery.
