Traffic problem

Commuter railroad causing traffic congestion on busy roads in Oak Lawn

Why does Metra Rail tie up traffic on Cicero and 95th St for 10 minutes every time there is a train going east bound to downtown Chicago stopped at the Oak Lawn passenger station which is 4 blocks from the Cicero Ave crossing. The only gates that should be down is on 95th st till the train leaves the Oak Lawn station. This creates a huge backup of traffic in both directions on Cicero ave and 95th st. There is no reason for the Cicero Ave gates to be down till the train starts leaving the station.
