Two Suspects in Custody After Massive Overnight Manhunt in Bridgeview: FBI
Two of three "armed and dangerous" suspects were nabbed on "local charges" after a massive manhunt by local, county and federal authorities.
BRIDGEVIEW, IL -- Two of three suspects considered "armed and dangerous" who were the focus of a massive manhunt that began late Tuesday evening are now in police custody. Local and county police assisted the FBI in the search for the three suspects reportedly wanted on "local charges."
Around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, FBI agents were following three suspects in a minivan for unspecified criminal activity in the area. When the individuals realized they were being followed, they took off at a high speed and crashed on the Tri-State ramp at 95th Street and Harlem Avenue. The suspects fled on foot into the surrounding neighborhood.
Alsip, Burbank, Oak Lawn, Palos Park, Bridgeview, and other area police departments assisted the FBI in the search. Two of the three suspects were apprehended in the surrounding neighborhoods. Witnesses reported helicopters and heavily armed officers searching the area, along with a bloodhound.

Congregants at the Mosque Foundation were told to “shelter in place” for four hours according to members and WGN reports, while law enforcement searched the area. Two weapons were recovered from the suspects. A third remains at large. The search concluded around 3:30 a.m.

The incident was concluded at approximately 3:30 a.m. No officers or citizens were hurt. An FBI spokesman confirmed that two of the three suspects are being held on “local charges.”
