69-Year-Old Man Dies In Oak Lawn Trailer Fire
A deadly fire that killed a man in the Airway Mobile Home Community has been determined "accidental," the Oak Lawn fire chief says.

OAK LAWN, IL—A man who was gravely injured in a mobile home fire has died. The Cook County Medical Examiner identified the fire victim as 69-year-old Gary Nispuruk.
Around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oak Lawn firefighters responded to a fire in the Airway Mobile Home Community, 9001 S. Cicero Ave. When firefighters arrived, the mobile home was engulfed in flames.
Nispuruk was located inside the residence and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center. He died early Monday. The Oak Lawn man’s cause of death is pending, according to the medical examiner.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Illinois State Fire Marshal’s Office, with the assistance of Oak Lawn Fire Department investigators and the MABAS 21 fire investigations team.
“The cause is still pending further investigations,” Oak Lawn Fire Chief David Wheeler told Patch. “However, it has been determined that it has been classified as accidental.”
