Video: Richards and The Miracle Tree

For more than two decades, NHS has supported Childs School

Walking from room to room at Childs School, there’s palpable joy. But it’s difficult to know who feels it more: The K-3 children or National Honor Society students from Richards High School.

They’re making holiday crafts together (video below), snowmen, necklaces with bells, and a variety of decorations.

Earlier, NHS students sneaked into Childs School to deliver gifts. They wrapped them earlier in the week and delivered them in huge plastic garbage bags to hide the contents. Parents will pick up the gifts later, and the children will never know who played Santa.

So many people make this day possible. Richards staff members always give generously, National Honor Society sponsor Dorothy Groff spends much time organizing, and students work enthusiastically to make the holidays a bit brighter for some young children.

The children receive much from The Miracle Tree. But so do our students.
