Village of Bridgeview Lifts Boil Advisory

Village officials have lifted a boil advisory issued Monday after negative bacteriological tests confirmed water was safe to drink.

BRIDGEVIEW, IL—Village officials have lifted a boil order put into place Monday after the water system was shut down so repairs could be made to a broken water main.

The public works department submitted a water sample for bacteriological testing, which has indicated that the water is safe to drink.

The following areas were affected by the boil order:

  • Hanover Street, Cambridge Street, Martin Lane and Southfield Drive
  • All homes from 8951 S. Harlem Avenue to Olympic Drive
  • All homes from 7119 Cambridge Street to 7101 Cambridge Street
  • All homes from 9055 Southfield Drive to 9009 Southfield Drive
  • 9001 S. Harlem to 9012 Martin Lane
