Violent Offender Arrested on FBI Warrant At Midway Inn: Cops

Chicago man was picked up on federal warrant for distributing drugs during premises check at Midway Inn, reports said.

OAK LAWN, IL -- Oak Lawn police arrested a Chicago man at a local motel who was wanted by the FBI, reports said. Christopher Hill, 41, was arrested on a federal warrant for distribution of a controlled substance. Hill is a registered violent offender with the state of Illinois.

According to the report, an Oak Lawn police officer was doing a premises check at the Midway Inn, 9320 S. Cicero Ave. around 9:30 p.m. March 23. While checking the license plate of a 2015 Chevy Equinox, the plate came back that the registered owner was wanted on a warrant issued March 14. The officer also discovered that Hill was a documented member of the Gangster Disciples. Hill also had weapons convictions and his last arrest was for attempted murder.

The clerk at the motel said that Hill was registered at the Midway. The FBI confirmed that the arrest warrant was still active. Backup units arrived and officers began doing surveillance. Hill and a female companion left the room. Officers surrounded Hill and he was handcuffed and detained, reports said. The woman was released without being charged.

Hill was 21 when he was convicted of the attempted murder of a 16-year-old, according to the Illinois State Police Murderer and Violent Offender Against Youth registry.
