Westside Warriors 12-Under Baseball Team Gains Momentum for Trip to Cooperstown
The Westside Warriors 12-under baseball team has won two tournaments during the month of July and added a third-place finish. Next up the Warriors will travel to Cooperstown, N.Y., to play in an event at the Field of Dreams.

The Westside Warriors have been on the warpath.
The Oak Lawn baseball team defeated Alsip-Pikowski 10-2 on Sunday, July 1, to win the 12-under championship in the Westside Warriors of Oak Lawn Summer Classic.
The title preceded a third-place finish for the Warriors at the Palos Rumble Tournament and a first-place effort in the Oak Lawn Tournament. The Warriors defeated the Lightning 10-5 in the title game on Monday, July 16. The win capped a 6-0 tourney run for the Warriors.

Next up: The Warriors are headed to Cooperstown, N.Y., Dreams Park to play in a week-long tourney in the home city of major league baseball's Hall of Fame. Opening ceremonies are on July 28.

The Warriors also played this summer in the Chicagoland Part-Time Sunday League.
