A Wheaton woman was arrested after she went on a profanity-laced rant when she tried to return a vehicle that was damaged in an accident to an Oak Lawn car dealer before the warranty expired, reports said.

According to the report, when officers arrived Hood was irate and threatening to blow up the dealership, as well as "slicing up" and "slapping" people.

Police said that officers told Hood to calm down asked her to explain her problem. Hood allegedly would not calm down and asked the officers if they “saw any [DELETED] Chryslers on the lot?”

Hood was “extremely loud, belligerent and threatening to the staff even in the officer’s presence,” reports said.

The car dealership staff requested that Hood be removed from the property, but officers claimed Hood told them the only way she would leave was in handcuffs.

When Hood ignored a second request by police to leave the premises, she called the officer names and made verbal threats to cause him bodily harm as she was being handcuffed, reports said.

Hood’s boyfriend told police that Hood was attempting to give the car back she purchased from the dealership that was still under warranty after it got damaged in a car accident. The boyfriend also claimed that Hood had mental health issues.

Employees told police that Hood entered the dealership and requested to speak to the manager. After the manager introduced himself, Hood began yelling and screaming and threatening him, police said.

According to the report, the manager estimated that Hood “called him a bitch at least 500 times.” She also allegedly unleashed a tirade on the finance manager and threatened to slap a secretary when she called 911.

Hood was taken to the Oak Lawn police station where she was charged with assault and disorderly conduct.

Hood’s next court appearance is May 16 in Bridgeview.
