Wing Zone Opens SATURDAY on 95th Street

Grand opening activities include wing eating contests, DJ, face painting, raffles and giveaways all day Saturday, August 1.

95th Street gets its “wings” this Saturday, August 1, with the grand opening of Wing Zone in Oak Lawn.

Opening next to Chase Bank and a few doors down from Frankie’s in the former Sara Lee outlet store space at 5713 W. 95th St., Wing Zone offers flavorful chicken wings with 15 different sauces designed to arouse the taste buds or burn the roof of your mouth off.

In addition to wings, Wing Zone offers burgers, chicken sandwiches, shrimp, tenders, appetizers and sides, and desserts.

Wing Zone has a slew of grand opening activities planned for Saturday, including a DJ, wing eating contests, face painting, raffles and free giveaways.

The Wing Zone grand opening lineup features:

  • 10:30 a.m. - DJ Start
  • 11 a.m. - Doors open and ribbon cutting ceremony with Mayor Sandra Bury
  • 1 p.m. - Oak Lawn’s Police vs. Fire “wing” eating contest
  • 5 p.m. - Customers’ “wing” eating competition (open to everyone)
  • ALL DAY - Music, face painting, raffles and free giveaways

Guests can stop by the restaurant to pick up platters or enjoy a bite. Orders can also be placed online if you’re picking up lunch for your co-workers.

Wing Zone’s hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
