Working class people walking away

Working class people have made it clear to IL Progressive Democrats, we will walk away from you if you continue to put us last. It started first with “Defund the police” which has led to the SAFE-t act. Last week officer Enrique Martinez was brutally murdered while serving the public by a man who prior to the shooting, broke into a woman's apartment so he could remove an ankle monitor due to a case pending in Will County. Will County state's attorney Glascow has warned the public on several media outlets that this new law puts the working class at risk. Mayor Johnson has announced he will cancel the upcoming police academy to save $75M due to a short fall in the budget of 1B.

Next, IL Progressive Democrats spent millions (if not billions) of monies on undocumented people with no real plan on paying for it. It is my opinion that they thought Washington would send financial support but soon saw that money flow to overseas wars. It is expected that property taxes in the city of Chicago are going to rise by 25% to help cover the budget deficit. Add that increase to the cost of living going up in gas, food, utilities while coupling that with huge rent increases due to a housing shortage.

Numbers coming out of the city and Cook County show Trump with 37% Cook and 22% city of Chicago. These numbers are almost double the output he had in 2016 and 2020. Our working-class union voter who has put his faith in this progressive party is now realizing that they don’t have their interest at heart. Unions are long standing institutions that many families have benefited from (including mine) now find themselves gravitating to the populist MAGA movement. MAGA has undergone a rebrand since 2020.

1. Moved the abortion issue to the states and refusing a federal ban is something that most working-class Americans agree with
2. Inclusion of the LGTBQ (see Scott Pressler in PA) while rejecting propaganda in schools that children can be trans, but the schools do not have to inform their parents
3. Inclusion of the unions across this country who Make America Work (Again) as we had teamsters president Sean O’Brien was a keynote speaker at the RNC

I do have a message for our fellow IL MAGA folks, stop with the bad tones, delusional posts and reject the racism that exists in this culture. We have a chance to move the IL electorate to the middle, but these 3 things will disrupt that. Instead encourage your neighbors to help
