You Better Watch Out, Santa Is Coming to the Oak Lawn Village Green

OAK LAWN, IL -- Santa, Mrs. Claus and their pal Frosty the Snowman will be breezing into Oak Lawn for the annual Santa on the Green. The stars will be arriving on a fire engine for an afternoon of holiday fun from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26.

Kids can tell their wishes and get their pictures taken with Santa and the gang, so make sure your cell phones are charged. Santa on the Green will feature live reindeer, an ice carving demonstration, Ferris wheel and trackless train.

Carolers from Sward and Kolmar School Chorus from noon to 1 p.m. Santa’s good friend Elf the Stilt Walker will be on hand to greet children.

Families can enjoy a free trolley ride from noon to 3 p.m. from the Village Green to Oak Lawn-Patriot Metra Station, where the Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce will be hosting “Shop Oak Lawn,” featuring children’s activities and food.

Stroll over to the Oak Lawn Public Library for a scavenger hunt and vendor fair featuring Oak Lawn Chamber members.

All of these wonderful events are free. We hope Dennis Kitching won’t run off and disappear like he does every year.
