‘You Can’t Sleep In A Shed,’ Judge Tells Man

Hickory Hills man told judge he forgot his key to a relative's mobile home, so he slept in a shed at Zeman Manufactured Home Community.

BRIDGEVIEW, IL --A Hickory Hills man was arrested for trespassing after he was found sleeping in a shed in a Bridgeview mobile home park, the prosecutor said. Brandon Pyne, 28, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on a misdemeanor charge of criminal trespassing to real property.

According to the charges, Pyne was discovered sleeping in a shed on Dec. 6 at a relative’s mobile home in the Zeman Manufactured Home Community, 8800 S. Harlem Ave., Bridgeview. The misdemeanor complaint was apparently signed by the park’s management.

Pyne told the judge that he had just recently returned to the area after being in Arizona.

“I came home late and didn’t have my key. So I stayed in the shed,” Pyne said. “”I woke up and I was charged with trespassing.”

Pyne was released on a $15,000 I-bond. He was ordered to stay away from the Zeman property. His next court date is Dec. 19.

“They don’t want you living in a shed,” Felice said.
