$11K In Copper Wire, Equipment Stolen In Oak Park

OAK PARK, IL — Oak Par k police are looking for information on a burglary in which more than $11,000 in copper wire, scrap metal, and equipment were stolen from a construction site. The burglary took place sometime between 2:20 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday in the 11oo block of South Blvd. according to police.

Police say the suspect or suspects got into the construction site and broke into an electrician's field office and stole 10 reels of copper wire. They also took a garbage bin filled with copper wire scraps and 18-volt angle grinder.

The total loss was estimated at $11,065.
