3 Juveniles Robbed While Walking In Oak Park: Police

Police say a blue Ford sedan was involved in both robberies.

OAK PARK, IL — Three juveniles were robbed in two separate incidents that both involved a blue Ford sedan in Oak Park. The first incident took place Sunday in the 100 block of Lake St. around 1:10 p.m. and the second roughly two hours later in the 200 block of S. Marion.

The two victims of the first incident told police they were walking along Lake St. when someone got out of the passenger side of a blue Ford sedan and asked them what time it was and whether they could borrow a phone. Police say the driver of the sedan then got out and grabbed one of the victims from behind.

The first suspect stole a black iPhone 7 with a cube case from one victim and a black iPhone 6 with a red case from the second victim. Both victims then headed east on Lake, police say.
