Affordable Housing Development Approved for Oak Park
The proposed building includes 55 apartments and retail space.

The Oak Park Village Board has unanimously approved an affordable housing development to be built at Madison Street at Highland Avenue.
The five story, mixed-use building proposal includes first floor retail space and 55 apartments for families with annual earnings between $32,000 and $52,000, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Village trustees have promised residents they will design a parking plan to address neighborhood concerns.
