3-Year-Old Abducted, Found Safe At La Grange Home: Police
Police breached a home in the village to recover the child, according to authorities.
MAYWOOD, IL — A child was found safe Tuesday after being abducted during a DCFS visit, triggering an Amber Alert, according to police.
Kyaira Montgomery was taken about 10 a.m. during the visit with a 31-year-old La Grange woman at the Department of Children and Family Services office in the 1700 block of First Avenue in Maywood, police said. The woman forced the girl into a 2021 Honda, activating an Amber Alert, which lasted about two hours, according to police.
The woman was dropped off by an Uber in La Grange, and police eventually breached a home in the village to recover the child, according to authorities. The girl was brought to a hospital for evaluation and one person was taken into custody while the matter was further investigated, police said.
