Collision Centers of America opens a new location in Berwyn

Collision Centers of America (CCA; ccamerica.net) is pleased to announce the Grand Opening of CCA’s newest location at 6305 W Ogden Avenue in Berwyn. “The growth of our company outstripped expectations for 2011 and with this shop coming online and two more to be announced , 2012 looks to be a record breaker too,” said Guy Maniscalo, Director of Sales and Marketing. The new Berwyn business was CCA’s 24th unit and has been open since December 2011. A ribbon cutting ceremony took place on August 9 in partnership with the Berwyn Development Corporation (BDC).

Started by Dave Mulder, Sr., CCA is family owned and operated and has served the Chicagoland community since 1973. CCA provides collision repair and paintless dent repair, and in recent years has added full service mechanical auto repair and certified towing and recovery to its menu of services. The Mulder family is proud of their reputation for having a relaxed, family-like atmosphere with a 100% satisfaction guarantee in all of their body shops. Dave Mulder stated, “I believe that by creating this atmosphere, YOU, our customer, will feel more comfortable and at ease in this environment, especially if you’ve been in a car accident. This is our family, serving yours.”

With a new company mascot, ‘Rex Impact,’ CCA has put a new face on the company. “Rex may be a cartoon caricature, but he embodies the friendly demeanor and well-trained, knowledgeable staff encountered at any of our two dozen locations,” said Maniscalo. CCA also leads the way in technology by now offering online estimates to its customers. Just upload a few pictures of the damage to your vehicle, and a collision repair expert from CCA will provide an accurate estimate within a few hours without asking customers to wait onsite.

Through the support of the City of Berwyn and the BDC, Dave Mulder received Tax Increment Financing (TIF) for façade improvements and signage on the property. The owner also invested in a full scope of work to include demolition, masonry, concrete, doors, bathrooms, water service, signage and office remodeling including electric, HVAC, carpentry and floors. Mayor Robert Lovero commented, “I’d like to believe that Collision Centers of America decided to open up shop here because it is so easy to do business in the City of Berwyn. This business joins a list of 37 others that opened up in 2012 alone.” Jon Fey, BDC Board President, continued, “The improvements made to this location are a big addition to the vitality of our Route 66 corridor and the City as a whole. The workmanship on your upgrades was exceptional and the building looks like new construction.”
