OPRF YOUTH FOOTBALL REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!
On-line registration is now open for the Oak Park River Forest Youth Football League (the Huskies) through June 30, 2012. To register for our 2012 Youth Football season, visit the Huskies’ football website at www.oprfyf.org.
The Huskies is a no-cut youth football organization, for 1st through 8th graders, offering a growing and competitive tackle football program. The Huskies field tackle football teams that are age, weight and skill based.
The Huskies compete in The Chicagoland Youth Football League (TCYFL) that includes 33 towns in the greater Chicagoland area. Recent accomplishments for the Huskies include four Superbowl Championships for its Heavyweight team in the past six years, a 2nd place finish for its Featherweight team, and being recognized as a forefront TCYFL member in concussion awareness and prevention.
The registration fee is only $365.00, which includes usage of a helmet, shoulder pads, and a practice jersey. In addition, your child will also be given to keep a game jersey and game pants, a value of over $125.00. To ensure that your child is not placed in the waiting list, the registration fee must be paid in full by June 30, 2012.
Practices officially start on Monday, July 23, 2012, with the regular season kicking off the weekend of August 25, 2012.
The Huskies are also looking for volunteers for coaching positions or people who want to serve on one of the committees (game day, concessions, fund-raising, spirit and banquet committees.) Check out the website for coaching and volunteer applications.
The Huskies are dedicated to making this upcoming 2012 season the best it can be, and wants every child and parent to have a positive, fun experience. Don’t wait! Sign up now!
