Reusable Bag Credits from Whole Foods Market® River Forest benefit River Forest Public Library

Whole Foods Market River Forest is proud to announce River Forest Public Library as the store’s current One Dime at a Time recipient.

“We’re excited to partner with River Forest Public Library and feel great knowing that the funds raised over the next three months will directly impact the library’s ability to bring engaging, educational programming to our community’s kids,” shares Julia Evans, Marketing & Community Relations Specialist at Whole Foods Market River Forest.

One Dime at a Time is a giving program at Whole Foods Market in which customers who use reusable shopping bags are given the option to keep or donate a 10 cent bag credit. Donated credits are collected over a period of three months and then donated to a local nonprofit. July through September, bag credits will be collected to support children's reading programs at the Library.

As an additional tie-in in with the Library’s Summer Reading Program, “Reading is So Delicious”, Whole Foods Market and River Forest Public Library have developed a series of culinary classes for kids that coincide with children’s books celebrating food and healthy eating.  For more information about these classes, parents should contact the Library, (708) 366-5205.
